Photography is extremely popular, precise and clearly reflective, making it at the same time an ambiguous, misunderstood, and often un-appreciated fine art medium. The James Schot Gallery and Photo Studio represents the best in fine art photography, exhibiting exceptional images to exemplify its decorative and enduring artistic qualities, providing a complete understanding of photography as a true art form.

As with other media, photographic styles can encompass realism, take on graphic dimensions, express editorial meanings or be surreal or abstract. It is limited in space by two dimensions, but finds expressive freedom in black and white, and color dimensions. This Gallery looks to discover and display all forms of exceptional photography, and welcomes Artists who create visual fine art and collectors who embrace it.

"Five years ago I picked up a camera. What started off as a simple means of taking some fun pictures quickly turned into an obsession and a way for me to tell you how I feel.

I try to show people what’s going on in my world through my pictures. If you look at them long enough you will understand every facet of my life. My wants, needs, desires, failures, joys and pains are all there."

"Marilyn Martin contacted me about representation. At first I thought .. oh more mathematical algorithms given to us by PhotoShop, but then we spoke by phone. I met a lovely 83 year young lady who used her creative imagination and her camera techniques to give us decorative streams of color."

James

Madalina's surreal and conceptual imagery has been awarded numerous times in prestigious international competitions, has been published in photography magazines and books all over the world, and has been exhibited in galleries from Romania and USA.

"Madalina uses photographs to compose her visual stories of life, living, love, promises and dreams. For these visuals to be effective and fully engaging takes a special personal vision. In the process, she plays with PhotoShop like a maestro, knowing how to orchestrate each instrument to complete its part of the composition to perfection." - James
